The Nine Lives Project

Brad, snoozing on Alek

Our inaugural batch of kittens are now spayed and neutered, and have started going to their forever homes! It’s been quite a journey from that first night we found them in a sealed Tupperware container, abandoned by the dumpster outside of a local animal shelter. Each loss we suffered was painful, and we’re still carrying the marks left by Jaxson, Jason, Holly, and Polly. Still, we heal a little each day when we get big snuggles from Chad, watch Brad sleep upside-down, and get sassed by Brittany. Tabitha (now Lana) and Jenica have gone to their forever homes already, and we get frequent updates that they are thriving.

Brittany and Brad are currently (Feb. 9) available for adoption! They don’t have to go as a pair, though they do love each other a lot. They’re used to plenty of other cats and are incredibly social. They would do well with a household that has kids. We haven’t ever introduced them to dogs, but given that they’re used to a degree of chaos, we imagine they would be okay with dogs that can respect their boundaries and don’t see kittens as a snack.

To read more about them, check out our Go Fund Me, which chronicles the roller coaster with somewhat-regular updates, and is still open for donations for now. We’ll close it once we’ve adopted all of them out into their new homes.
